One of the many advantages of buying a new home from EDC Homes—and one of the things that sets us apart from other local builders—is our dedicated home warranty department. We are proud to partner with 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty, the nation’s leading home warranty company.  Your 2-10 Warranty is transferable should you sell you're home.  This increases your home's resale value.

We hope you never need to use our warranty service, but if you do, we promise to address your request in a timely and professional manner. Bottom line: EDC Homes remains committed to our customers long after the closing is complete.

How do I submit a warranty request and when should I submit?

30 Day Customer Service - In order to minimize warranty visits and for your convenience, please compile any cosmetic items or issues in list format and submit them via 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty after you have been in the home for thirty (30) days.  

1 year Customer Service - This is your opportunity to submit any workmanship items before your one year builder warranty expires.  **Items must be submitted at least one month in advance of your one year warranty expiration date.**

If you have any warranty requests, they must be submitted online via 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty.

**Settlement Cracks** - It is important to note that small cracks and separations are typically signs of slight settlement of the framing and construction materials and are commmon with every new home. These cracks are commonly caused by expansion and contraction of building materials due to changes in moisture content and temperature.  These types of cracks do not indicate a structural concern and should be addressed at the 10 month warranty service.

What should I expect after submission?

Once we receive your warranty request, you can expect the following: 1) A Contruction Performance Guideline letterfrom 2-10 Home Warranty that your request has been recieved 2) Resolution of your request in a professional and timely manner.
