New Home Construction Warranty & Customer Care

In order to provide you (our valued customer) with exceptional service and support after your home purchase, an EDC Customer Care Representative will automatically contact you via your email address on file thirty (30) days after you move in to remind you to submit your request for any warranty service you may need.  This thirty (30) day period allows you sufficient time to become settled in your new home and compile any list of items that may need to be addressed after thirty (30) days of occupancy.  Near the end of your eleventh month from the date of your purchase date, you will be contacted to submit any  one year warranty requests.  With this submission, we will review any outstanding warranty issues you may have with your new home.

All EDC new construction homes are covered by a 2-10 New Home Warranty, which includes:

  • 2 years of systems surety coverage against defects in wiring, piping and ductwork in electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilating and mechanical systems;
  • 10 years of structural defect coverage for load-bearing components; and
  • 1 year of surety coverage against defects in workmanship and materials.

There are also manufacturers' warranties for many other materials used in the construction process, including roofing and siding. You will find their names and contact information in your homeowner packet. Please contact them directly to resolve any issues.
